Programme

The postgraduate MEng program "Membrane Lightweight Structures" prepares postgraduate students to work in the fastidious field of building with membranes, providing a profound knowledge for a qualified activity in architects' and engineers' offices, at implementing companies in the private sector as well as in the public sector. The modular postgraduate program may also form a basis for a further scientific qualification in a following doctoral thesis.

The substantial goal is to provide graduates with adequate tools and an understanding of appropriate technologies in the field of fabric architecture and fabric engineering.

The individual modules are designed in order to raise the awareness for the entire operational sequence from the first sketch up to the realization of membrane architecture. A main target of the program is to qualify graduates to develop projects independently. Participants will also have the opportunity to become part of a unique network of experts. The exchange of information and the long-term co-operation form the basis for a successful career in the field of fabric architecture.
